Enjoyed this story of old crimes coming back to haunt the present very much. Did not guess the identity of the murderer until right before the end -

It's great when a writer shows the real life struggle with parenting that many people go through in addition to their daily work / solving myseries / pining romances....

I really enjoyed the historical aspect of this book in the series, WWII has always been very fascinating to me so I was immediately drawn in. I was in TOTAL shock when the killer was revealed, I had a totally other idea in mind. Another great one!

This series is getting better and better. I love that the side characters are all starting to get interesting subplots. And the complexity of the central relationship, Nelson and Ruth, is attractive. I especially liked the realistic portrayal of new motherhood, Ruth’s guilt and all. This installment investigates the discovery of six WWII-era bodies found on a Norfolk beach where the sea keeps advancing towards the town. Can’t wait to read the next one.
