Another thoroughly enjoyable read. I enjoyed the ending though it still leaves a number of questions hanging in the air.

This series was OK. Don't really know what all the hype was about.

The 70s lingo is cooling down. Really intrigued by the plot now.

This book concludes the original Amber storyline with the showdown at the Courts of Chaos. I have really enjoyed this series. I love Zelazny’s writing style - each of this books is short, but packed with adventure. He keeps the story focused, without any fluff. I also love the way he weaves in various mythologies and Arthurian legend. These are terrific class fantasy novels.

This book ended the story arc well, so giving this entry an extra star for the whole being greater than the sum of its parts

This series should have been one book and at least 200 pages shorter at that. I liked this conclusion to the series even though it dragged at some places (like Sign of the Unicorn or Guns of Avalon). The characters, other than Corwin, were mostly flat with almost zero character development over the five books. But the worldbuilding was amazing with such a wonderful concept at its core.
