I listened to this on Chirp. It was narrated by Dan Calley. He’s probably the only reason I finished this book. I didn’t care for the MC. He was repetitive and fickle. I did like the love interest, Ben. Though, that might have been because of the accent.

This book was very okay. I didn't love it, didn't hate it. Wouldn't recommend it, but wouldn't tell someone not to read it. I wasn't necessarily compelled by the characters or the plot, but it was a quick and easy gay romance to read.

So, the plot of this book was more complicated and more interesting than the previous version, and the romantic scenes were more explicit - definitely a change in gay rom-com. Oh, and it's very British, and by that I mean Scottish and Welsh...

4 stars. Overall, I loved Ben and Charlie's romance and their chemistry was really hot. That first scene at the coffee shop, i was not expecting that and loved it. However, Charlie's over-the-top insecurity made the book a little bit less enjoyable for me. I just kept expecting him to hurt Ben and Ben kept forgiving him, and was just so sweet overall. It was still a good romance and the mental health rep is important but I think it could have been handled a little bit differently and made the book less depressing.
