LOVED this book. You want to love and hate the characters, throw the book out the window, and rescue it back all at once. The book has a great variety of what is going on, the characters are well developed, and it shows how entrenched their past influences their decisions and lives at the present point in the book. The book, and therefore the series, ended in such a nice way that I think only this book can do. The end was filled with more romance and love, but in a sweet way that definitely warms the soul. I was sad to put this book down.

Immersed in the tumultuous backdrop of WWII Russia, Paullina Simons' "The Bronze Horseman" series weaves an unforgettable romantic saga. Set in Leningrad, the story revolves around Tatiana and Alexander, whose love blossoms amid the horrors of war. I was captivated by their emotional journey, where their love not only endures but thrives against all odds.
The plot follows Tatiana, a resilient young woman, and Alexander, a Red Army officer. As they navigate the challenges of war, their connection deepens into an unbreakable bond. Their love remains steadfast even when faced with separation, family conflicts, and the brutal realities of conflict. The historical backdrop adds depth, highlighting the stark contrast between the characters' passionate romance and the chaos surrounding them.
Simons' evocative prose vividly transports readers to wartime Leningrad, allowing me to feel the characters' struggles and emotions. The series beautifully captures the essence of love, reminding me that it's a force capable of overcoming the darkest of times. Tatiana and Alexander's story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of love.
In my first-person perspective, I was truly enamored by "The Bronze Horseman" series. It left me spellbound by its portrayal of love's ability to conquer adversity. Simons' storytelling prowess, combined with the gripping historical setting, creates an unforgettable reading experience. This series is a must-read for anyone who craves a deeply moving and beautifully written tale of love's triumph.

This book was doing wayyyy too much. It was like 5 different books in one. And she tore up and destroyed the characters I loved. Why make me love them all just to make them suck in the last one? I’ll just pretend it ended at book 2

I'm literally sobbing right now because of this entire trilogy! I can't believe it's over...
This was the most beautiful and heartbreaking love story that I ever read and I don't know how to move on...

Certainly interesting to see Alexander and Tatiana face their demons in every day life.
The book was interspersed with information about Tatiana as a young child, which I often skipped and found a little boring.
