The second in this cozy little series, I enjoyed it a bit more than the first. I can't be sure if that was more in part to the wonderful narration by Johanna Parker or the writing itself, but nonetheless. It has everything you'd look for in a cozy mystery: a nosy busy body of a regular citizen is in the wrong place at the wrong time and stumbles onto a murder (that happened offpage of course) and then proceeds to try her hand at solving said murder, to the chagrin of the police. These books aren't works of art in reference to their writing, but they're definitely a quick little cozy read that might help ya bust out of a reading slump or feel accomplished at completing a book in a sitting.

I did not see a love triangle come into play! I feel like this should have been set up better in the first book but in this one is really shines. Also side note I love the cover art but I feel like this one should have had a dog on it with the topic…
