really enjoyed this when i wasn’t expecting to! i was a little confused about the abrupt beginning, but it took me literally until the end of the book to realize it was part of a series and i just straight up skipped book 1 on accident. i fully plan on reading the rest of the series!!

Well, remember how last review I was sitting on the fence...too slow moving for me, with nothing new on the table. These scenarios are in EVERY "zombie" story!!

The second book for this series didn't disappoint! I loved getting the chance to continue the story and even get to learn what caused the stillness and hallows. I can't wait to continue on and start the third book! This was a 4.5 stars read!

Felt a bit repetitive and dragged in the middle, I did think it built to a good end though! And it definitely left me wanting to read the next one!

Enjoyable and I liked it better than the first and enough to continue reading two more in the series, so that says a lot. There was more action than the first, meaning more fight and some adversity for this trauma bonded couple who do not seem to have 'real' feelings cause there is something fumbled in the very beginning about them. Perhaps it is the way Clare speaks to him, not sure. My only other issue is that a single person cannot lift an engine, engines are also not one size fits all into cars, and their love language is mostly garbage, but if you keep the action and story coming which the second book ends knowing there is at least one more character to divert with... I'm in, because overall, it's a lot of fighting creature fun.
