“I don’t want you to run a never-ending race for me. I don’t want to be the kind of woman who expects that. I refuse to do that to you.”[...] “What are you thinking then?” “That maybe we can meet halfway.”
creo que es más como un 3.5 para mí ⭐⭐⭐

Omg I did not expect to love this as much as I did!! 5/5 easy, this was absolutely incredible! I’m obsessed
SLOOOOWBURN, neighbors, single mom, grumpy sunshine, taking care of her trope and more<3 I love the slowburn in here, it took so long for them to get together but I loved seeing the foundation for their relationship grow stronger and the tension GIVE until it exploded<3 It feels like I had butterflies the whole time!
Maddie was such a strong single mom and Garrett was just a everything and more. Jamie made the whole book he was so sweet and I loved Maddie and Jamie’s fun and playful relationship.. ALSO LAYLA - queen! Slay
Also, I’m just gonna add another Aaron I hate to the list (looking at you icebreaker by Hannah grace)

I tried so hard but DNF at like 60%. This book was way too similar to Wait for It.

Adored this book. My heart hurt for Madison and seeing everything she was doing to survive with her son. Garrett was everything, I loved how protective he became, I loved seeing him with her son and them bonding. His possessive jealous moments
I hated the love interest. Not only did he give me the ick but he also just was creepy and not portrayed the way the author thought she portrayed him to be. I’m not even bothered to write a review. Do not really recommend reading.
ok so this was sooooooo cute and such a fast read it got my out of my slump. highly recommend it’s so quick and fun to read :)

I loved Maddie, loved Jamie, loveeeeeeeeeeed Garrett.
Honestly? Maddie was a freaking badass woman, mother, worker, daughter, everything. She's a great human being who was dealt a bad set of cards and that sucks. But I guess that's reality. Jamie was an amazing son who did what he could to protect his mom. And freaking Garrett!!! We all thought he was a judgemental asshole but he was a caring, sexy and really understanding guy in disguise. Love that for him and her, if u know what i mean.
Anyways, I really loved this book.

2 stars purely because Madison was a fab h.
Garrett on the other hand was one massive creep. He stalked her, was MAD at her for being with a man who hurt her (like it was her fault?!), was mad when he’d gotten rid of said bad man and she still wasn’t over the traumatic experiences she’d endured at the click of a finger. When talking about his ex he said he’d ‘never fucked her raw’ in the middle of a normal conversation. So many bloody red flags for that man. Wish it had been a friends to lovers romance between Layla & Madison as that would have been a much better read!
