A lovely read with an engaging writing style and plot. Overall a very sweet and moving read that I think a lot of teenagers would love.

Audiobook 8 hours 3 minutes - A lot of this book felt repetitive, like the same things were being said over and over, and a bit too slow-paced, but I think this is partially down to the fact I listened as an audiobook. I absolutely loved the scenes narrated by the external narrator - I thought they were a unique piece of storytelling and well-written, letting you see into the life of side characters that you'd never give much thought to otherwise. I liked the ending, that it wasn't happy but it wasn't necessarily sad either, it felt realistic. There were other parts that felt a bit too unrealistic though. The book dealt with coincidence vs. fate, but having the same interviewer/lawyer? That seemed too far-fetched by far. However, all in all, this book was enjoyable to read, just not the best thing in the world.

Not gonna lie, at first I was confused why does it called 'The Sun is Also a Star'. I really thought this will be an astronomy related young adult romance but no astronomy at all. After I finished the book and analyze it, (I believe) the title represent the plot that shows every human is the same. No matter what race or gender, we're human. The man is also human, the woman is also human. The sun is also a star.

“Love is just chemicals and coincidence.”

Unreciprocated love, that's what the trope is. Daniel is interested in Natasha, while Natasha is not. So Daniel made a kind of 'bet' that he would make Natasha fall in love with him within one day aka 24 hours. Because apparently, "love is just a coincidence". You read it right, by the way. Just a day. It's funny how this book is actually just a story in 24 hours (+ a little more) but Yoon made it feels so long. Not a bad thing, of course, but it's like "A Day in the Life of Daniel and Natasha".

You'll get what you want if you're looking for a dual POV book. But, it's not just two. There are even some chapters with a weird point of view like... glasses. I mean, who knows a point a view from a dead thing can be really important, right? Oh, and did I mention there is also a chapter with only one word in it? Yep, the point of views are various but I personally didn't get confused.

So, do you think he can makes her fall in love in 24 hours?

Absolutely splendid. Such a refreshing and thoughtful read. The book makes you think about life and your purpose. The story is told from many diverse perspectives. All around amazing read.
