I am on my rereading journey of all of the Cassandra Clares shadowhunter books. In the Mortal Instruments series so far.. this is 100% the best book! I am still not here for the romance, but the plot and character development was great. SO much happened in this book and it kept my attention the whole time.
Finding out about Clary and Jace having angel blood? Yes please
Jocelyn waking up? Yes please
Jocelyn and Luke finally moving in together? Yes please
Clary and Jace no longer think they are siblings? Finally
Alec and Magnus kissing in public?! Love that for them
Simon giving up on dating Clary? Finally
I remember nothing from the rest of the series... but I kind of feel like this should have been a trilogy lol. Everything was wrapped up nicely and it doesn't make me feel the need to read the next three books.

i really enjoyed this despite clary's best efforts to make it the most annoying book i've ever read
