This is my favorite book in the series. Like Theo, when I first met Winter I thought she was just misunderstood and there was more there than met the eye. I found her personal battles justified and in no moment was I annoyed because although Theo was all in, the way they came together would make any person who doesn’t even have trauma probably second guess. I loved the way Theo always stood up for her. I also loved how she showed up for him when he needed it. The banter between these two was also top tier. I thought her and Theo were the perfect pair and I felt their chemistry immediately. Theo is the number one Elsie Silver man for me.
Although one thing did stand out to me. They go to a wedding where Winter does drink alcohol. Only for her to come home a breastfeed Vivi. Pretty sure you’re not supposed to do that soooo an innocent but still a mistake by the author/editor.
My only wish is that I’d have like to see a little more into Theo’s insecurities and have Winter help him through those more. But this will absolutely become one of the books in my rotating reread pile when I just need to go back to a place I enjoy
