zombiezami's review against another edition
fast-paced
Wow this book was trash. The only reason I read it was because it's being covered on a podcast I enjoy. The author claims to dislike bumper sticker slogans, but you could honestly get the same experience of reading this book if you chose an assortment of bumper sticker slogans and motivational posters to read. I have no clue how this book became popular when it says basically all the same "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" tidbits that have been part of the self-help genre since Think and Grow Rich and How to Win Friends and Influence People. My only positive feedback is that the audiobook was mercifully short.

Nearly 50 pages in and I had read nothing of substance. The author speaks from a pedestal of privilege. Also, the constant mentioning of weight loss and how easy exercise is REALLY got me heated. No thanks.
