Dipping my toes into the thriller genre a bit with this one, and I think the experiment was successful! This book definitely suffers from some poor pacing at the beginning, but at about the 30% mark I was super invested in figuring out what the heck was going on. I liked the main character and got invested in his backstory outside of the main timeline. The tension is well-maintained—I really felt on the edge of my seat towards the end. That being said, I’m still not 100% sure if I felt satisfied with the ending. I truly couldn’t have guessed how it would end, so I can’t say I had something else in mind, but it just wasn’t exactly the resolution I was looking for. Overall, a good time and an exciting read!
