This book was so good I had to go back and read the beginning again to get a grasp of how well it was written and laid out. It's quite cheesy at times and some of the dialogue isn't as enjoyable as the metaphysical shenanigans that take place but overall a very fun read

The science went over my head at times but this philosophical, sci-fi exploration of grief and the meaning of human existence was still gripping and I always felt compelled to finish. The ending didn’t quite hit home for me but I still appreciated the ambitious swing this book took. Felt 3/4 Blake Crouch, 1/4 Susanna Clarke.

3/5

weird little book, i mostly enjoyed it throughout the first 3/4 but i didn't really feel satisfied with the final quarter - which featured literally the cheesiest worst reveal i've probably read in an adult fiction novel:
Spoilerthere's a character named neil amai.. which is 'i am alien' backwards
