This book was very slow at the beginning. I really struggled to get into it. Once you get into it the book massively improves. Kazi and Jase are so lovable and you want to root for them throughout the entire book. I would highly recommend reading the Remnant Chronicles before reading this book, I would have been quite lost if I hadn’t done so.

I have pretty mixed feelings about this book; it could have been a lot better, but it could have been a lot worse.  The worldbuilding details were confusing but kind of interesting. The plot was strangely paced, but interesting yet again. The characters aren't ones I would die for, but interesting and pretty realistic (I guess including the urges to kiss each other all the time?). I enjoyed the ending the most because it seemed to piece together everything I overlooked at the beginning, although the resolution felt slightly anticlimactic and rushed. At any rate, the cover is gorgeous. :)

i got bored; the characters are repetitive and the sequence of events wasn't enticing enough. it was a lot of straight people doing straight people things and having straight people arguments.
