The main trope of this novella is a tiresome one but also completely reasonable. Long-distance is challenging for even the best couples, and when combined with rampant teenage emotions as well as the genuine fear of being left behind, it's a storm waiting to happen. I think it made sense for them to miscommunicate given that this is a BIG step in their relationship, also because they are stupid about each other and even the most in-tune couples fall out of sync every once in a while.
The narrators also did a good job of bringing the characters to life, although I did keep overlaying Kit and Joe's voice in my head, so that was a little weird.
Overall, read this in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Going back to Nick and Charlie and reviewed it again making me smile. This book is really bring memories to me. And Alice, thank you again for writing this sweet and cute masterpiece. The fight scene still wreck me, yes.
But, I love both Nick and Charlie. They are so special for me. This novella... with this US version and the dust jacket; I approved. My rate didn't change. Still worthy of 5⭐!
The whole story is about Nick and Charlie. And yes... they can't break up because they are Nick and Charlie. Thank you, Alice!
