If it hadn’t been a part of a challenge (read two books with the same title and I’d already read the same title by Freida McFadden!) then I wouldn’t have finished this book at all.
Moderate: Death, Murder
This book was not for me. I found it to be overly melodramatic and don't like when an author feels like everything needs to be explained to the reader. I found the friendship between the cottage caretakers forced and any dialog from Danny was painful to read.
I want to like Ruth Ware books. I really do. I keep reading them because they are always highly recommended but I'm always left feeling just...meh.

I was eagerly awaiting this book and was a bit concerned my expectations were too high. Ruth didn’t let me down! This has all the elements of a classic who-done-it and I found it hard to put down. I liked the chapter format with different chapters perspectives. I wish there was really a snoop app, but there’s not, I checked! I can’t wait for Ruth to write her next book!

Honestly, too many characters to keep track of. None of them likable. I predicted the killer pretty soon. Overall did not keep me intrigued

I love Ruth Ware and when it's read by Imogen Church, oh just count me in. I don't care if it's the stories of flies & ants building a house together, I want in. And One by One was a decent thriller ; I much preferred her other works but I'm glad I read it/listened to it. I found it to be funny in parts mainly because I felt detached from the characters. Great writing as you would expect from Ruth Ware and wonderful characters. I can't say that I really cared for any of the Snoop's characters visiting the chalet but it was obvious from the start that Liz was an odd one out. I was definitely rooting for our protagonist, Erin, but my god was she stupid when she realized who the killer is? Honestly, read and tell me if you would not come up with a much better way to tackle the killer in that scenario than the suicide plan she wrote for herself. Anyway. Decent read. Creative in parts. And it makes me think twice about that romantic snow vacation I'd been day-dreaming about ;)!
