This book is perfect dark academia. Perfect enemies to not quite lovers. They hate each other in the best way. Can’t wait for the next one and I hope it doesn’t disappoint.

Tigest Girma created a tale that ensnared me and kept me guessing.
I wont say too much about the actual plot, but the storyline is moving at a fast - but steady pace. There are several plot twists built within, of which I only suspected one (I usually have a good sense about these things).
I am trying to summarize the way I felt, but I was swept away, I felt for the characters and rooted for them. I hope to see where the relationships go - and that even the most "evil" find some redemption in the end.
I truly enjoyed this read and the interweaving of Ethiopian culture with Tigest's Dranaics. There are some tempting scenes, but nothing over the top. It hints at some intimacy. This story truly shines with the inner workings of its characters and by highlighting their flaws. Loved it and cannot wait to read book 2 and eventually 3!
