Alright so this rating is really a 2.5, almost a solid three but not quite.
I really loved the idea of this book. Making Cupid a real person and having a whole agency that doubles as a dating service to the normal outside world is really interesting and fun. I really liked the spunk of the main character, she was not into Cupid at the beginning, I liked the idea that Cupid had to work for it.
The problem I had was that Cupid wasn't lovable. redeemable to me. His personality didn't grow on me, and I was waiting for the character shift where everyone would realize he was a good guy, and even when that did come I didn't really believe it. Lila and Cal definitely had more chemistry throughout the book.
Plus, I'm not sure if its because I'm getting older buttttttt, I cant deal with books that have immortal characters, and that character still falls in love with a sixteen year old. In this case it made a little sense because Cupid was waiting for his 'Match' but with how I view the world today it seems a little predatory. Sidenote: the characters don't do anything that could be counted as predatory, it just feels weird and a bit unnecessary.
Overall, it was a cute book! I'm sure a teen is going to pick up this book and fall madly in love with this story. I was just not the preferred audience for this book.

My expectations were on the floor for this book since it used to be a Wattpad book, so I loved this. There were strong TVD vibes with the paranormal and 2 brothers stuff. This is more of an adventure/action book than a romance but it was still cool. There were so many plot twists, it was crazy LOL. This was just entertaining in the most ridiculous way.

I was skimming the shelves at Barnes & Nobles for my birthday. I didn't know then that I was going to pick up such an amazing book. The story line was amazing. I flew through this so fast because I loved it so much. Lila are Cupid are very sassy and funny characters and I couldn't help but fall in love with them. Such a fun read!
First off thank you Netgalley for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for an honest review. This book exceeded so many of my expectations and I didn't realize until I finished it that it is an original Wattpad story. This makes me even more excited, so far everything I have read from Wattpad I have enjoyed!
This book features a strong badass female lead that finds herself thrown into a situation she doesn't want to believe is real. She fights for what she believes and what she wants and it just unravels this beautiful story.
I cannot say enough good things about this book, I don't have a single thing I didn't like. This book was everything I was looking for when I read it. It was unique, strong characters, a little bit of magic, mythology, technology, fights, wars, evil characters, just pick it up guys and give it a shot!
I really want to see this book adapted into a movie or tv series I think it would make a decent comedy!

DNF at chapter 5. It sounded a lot more interesting than it is and could’ve been a lot better. The writing was subpar and too similar to the draft on Wattpad - I don’t know if anything even changed? I can’t lie, there are other books on Wattpad that are amazingly written, which could’ve gotten published instead.

You can definitely tell this is a Wattpad book, it's the kind that could only have thrived on Wattpad for sure LMAO... But honestly I ended up liking it by the end. In true Wattpad fashion the characters and worldbuilding really grew on me and I think made this a real guilty pleasure read for me. I am not immune to Cal... I love Cal LMAO I like him more than Cupid which seems to be a popular sentiment UWOGHHHH <3
There's a lot of really reall cool concepts introduced adapting myths and legends, which I'm always excited to see the interpretations of. I think the execution of it alongside the plot flow and pacing left a little to be desired, even though there were some interpretations I lovedlike the minotaur finding/creating mazes in urban sprawl despite how minor they were.
Look it's not a masterclass in writing by any means, the plot beats and character elements get really cliche and predictable in a way that makes you roll your eyes more than once and the quality of writing is definitely rough, especially when things are just getting started. There are plot elements and storylines that get haphazardly introduced and then thrown away in a way that makes it seem like much of it is being written on the fly. I think it's definitely the kind of cheesy, edgy Wattpad story without many surprises that it seems. But like I said, this really turned into a guilty pleasure read for me after seeing the interactions between characters and their dynamics (especially the brothers!), I think that's where I had the most fun in reading this and where it still drew me in to giggle and kick my feet with glee at and despite the very cliche and standard brother love-triangle scenario that reared its head.
