As you will probably read in several reviews: people generally do not recommend this book despite giving it 5/5 stars. It’s a fun read, one that I have read over and over again, but it’s not without its flaws. Be sure to read the warnings others post. 

Describing The Foxhole Court (and The All for the Game series as a whole) is difficult. It’s decently written, with interesting character studies; the plot is fairly ridiculous, and borderline non-sensical, but all in all it’s fun. It’s the CW show of your sport’s books.

If you haven't read this book before, pay attention to the trigger warning for the series.

You'll probably love this series if you like sports anime or soap operas. Nothing about the plot is realistic, but it sure is engaging. The characters are all deeply flawed, yet written in a way that humanizes them. 

Would recommend if you like your books full of bat-shit-insane drama and flawed (but relatable) character.

Would not recommend if youre looking for a serious book or beautiful prose.

If I would have read this in 2013 I would have been insufferable. It's a sports anime in book form. Meets a mafia anime? Haikyuu banana fish cross over I don't know I needed.
