 My Review

I absolutely had a BLAST with this book and Lake is my favorite book of the series...hands down. While I have had fun with the others, this one was a story I seemed to connect with on a deeper level with. And what is the most hilarious about it is the fact that I was the most nervous about this one. In the blurb it hints at the heroine having this plan to do things to make the hero hate her so she doesn't have to marry him but the moment she meets him she knows that he is her only hope for happiness and true freedom from her situation and what freedom she finds with Lake and its so precious and beautiful. I love how in these books the spice is low key and not as focused. Its very refreshing, its there but its not heavy in the story which is what I really appreciate about Michelle Heard.

I found their romance to be so endearing and how he courts her so sweetly just melted my heart!

“You’re like a lotus flower. Pure and patient. You have love and compassion for all things.”

First of all you need to know I LOVE the Trinity Academy Series. And I totally adore Falcon, Mason and Lake as individuals as well as their friendship.
But,… yeah sometimes there’s a but…, Lake’s book was by far the weakest one to me. The story didn’t get to me like I thought it would. It was not as interesting or thrilling as the other ones. And it was the first time in this series that I wished this book was longer, that there was a deep dive on certain parts I personally think would have improved the story.

”I’ve only really known him a week, and in the dark night of my soul, he’s become my lighthouse.”

It was great to see finally more of Lake, his caring character and his big heart. Lake is a fascinating character and perfect for Lee. I think none of the other boys could have fallen for Lee like Lake did.

Lee is such a lovely heroine who dealt very well with the fate life handed her. She was created true to the Korean nature (at least as far as I can assess).

I can totally see why Lake and Lee fell for each other and that they were made for each other. However, I personally think Lee’s Korean upbringing would have been a bigger obstacle in this lovestory. She adapted to the western lifestyle way too quickly for my liking

“I’ll love you so much in this life, the deities will have no choice but to give you back to me in the next life.”

Lake, the third book in the Trinity Academy series is a sweet addition in the trilogy and completes it perfectly.

LAKE [TRINITY ACADEMY #3]

Lake Cutler’s the final of the trio to find love. Through the previous books, we get to see how caring Lake is towards Layla & Kingsley from the very beginning, almost like an elder brother, even before Falcon or Mason fall for them. It's shown that Lake is the kindest soul, so there's no wonder that he's always well-guarded by his friends.

After Reyes & Cutler follow through with their pact, it is now time for Lake to fulfill his. To marry Lee-ann for the sake of CRC Holdings.

ψ Good guy MC who's not afraid to cry or show his emotions.
ψ Heartwarming, slice of life kinda romance novel.
ψ Arranged-marriage.
ψ Happy for now ending.

The third book seems like a closure in more ways than one. It is after you finish reading this that you realise that the boys, who were distant from their families, who were spoilt rotten, the very same boys who took everything for granted in the first book gradually undergo a metamorphosis and begin to take up responsibilities in the second book. By the end of third, they're all ready to take up their roles in the world outside the academy, hand in hand with their better halves.

I truly enjoyed reading about the CRC clan. After Julian, I'm looking forward to the next generation. ^^

What a book and what a series from Michelle and I do love the fact that there was a freaking fantastic surprise snuck in there nope not going to tell no spoilers, but it absolutely made my day. Thank you for that.
This was such a good book my emotions were all over the place I didn't know whether to laugh, cry or get angry one minute to the next, but I do know I absolutely couldn't put this book down.
This is definitely a must read and one you need to one click on. It's so worth it.

Lake is the third but not final installment of the Trinity Academy. I was so nervous before starting Lake because Mason ended in a dramatic cliffhanger. (I feel terrible snickering at my choice of words and I know it makes me a terrible person.)

Lake and Lee are destined to be married. You think I mean the arranged marriage but nope, I mean destined. Daddy gets to end his book with a new Mommy for the kids! I love the dynamic of the kids. They are friends to the end and back. It's refreshing to see guys so in touch with their emotions. Even better to see them sharing their lives with THE ONE!

Enjoy Lake and keep your eyes open for Julian!

As much as I was looking forward to Lake's story, I was so disappointed with its fruition. In spite of what I'm assuming are the author's best intentions, the story ended up coming across as white Savior-y, and upheld some harmful stereotypes.

Frankly, I think this story would have worked much better had Lee been white. The author was writing outside of her lived experience in ways that I think ended up harming the narrative rather than helping it.

1.5 stars.

I'm sad that I didn't like this one.

+OT3 forever.

-Lake deserved more than a stiff, half-baked romance where they declared they are falling in love after 2 days.
-What was the point of
Spoiler killing West off? It had nothing to do with the plot in this book.

This is the last one in this series and I have to say this one was the feeling one. This one brings out your emotions, your feelings more than the other two. I have absolutely loved Lake since the first one. There was just something about his character. This book brings that character out even more especially when you bring Lee Parker his fiancée who he really doesn't know into the picture. This is an arranged marriage between these two for a business deal. But once these two get together you easily see that there is so much more there than just an arrangement. Lake is the caring, tender soft hearted one out of the three boys and it shines through when it comes to Lee. She is a feisty shy girl at first but once she gets around the girls and Lake she changes and the real Lee comes out. There are some very emotional parts in this one. I will say I did tear up a few times. Michelle wrote this one amazingly and ended this series so darn well. I loved it from beginning to end.

The final book in the series. This is kind of an insta-love, yet with a twist. I really have enjoyed this series. The cumilation is this book. It's sweet, it's romantic, and there is just a few small baby twists thrown in. The characters are still amazing in the interactions and the by plays. I love the bond that Falcon, Mason and Lake have, it's good to see.
I am super into kpop and having a main character from South Korea...that speaks to me. I loved it so much, because mostly it was unexpected. I honestly hope more authors do this. This story was sweet, sweeter than the other two, and this one focused more on the couple and their relationship than anything else, so it was for sure nice to read. It added another element to the series. This book is told in dual pov.
