This review is for Cruel Awakening.
This story is an awesome beginning to this series. I can not wait to get more of this series!!!!!!
Soleil has been through something tragic and her life has been changed forever from it. We start out with Soleil starting over fresh and trying to find her way in her new world. We get 3 hot alphas who are sniffing after her, we get the mystery of what happened that placed her on this road, and the biggest secret of all..... what type of paranormal is she???????

Midnight Whispers is a collection of amazing authors and the stories that they have written for this anthology.

One of my favorite stories in this anthology is Fighting Fate and it is a collaboration between AJ Macey and Jarica James. I am anxiously awaiting the next part of this story after reading Fighting Fate and I am sure a lot of you will be in the same predicament after reading it as well.

I'm reviewing Crescent Marked By Tera Lyn Cortez!!

I LOVED this book.... It's such a unique story... Following Leah on her journey to learn all the secrets from her Aunt, the wolf sanctuary and the house she inherited...

The deserted temple may hold her answers, but does she dare enter?

I sure hope there will be more books in this series.

*This is a review for only one story, My Soul To Take by Meg Anne*

I'm a mess. Mess. Mess. Mess. Was I expecting all the beautiful sadness? Hell no. But I'm glad that's what we got.

The story follows a fallen angel who fell because she was in love with a mortal. Fate has a funny way of bringing long lost lovers back together in unexpected ways and that's what happens here. I don't want to spoil any further.

At first I thought this was going to turn into a philosophical book (blame it on The Midnight Library) and I was really not up for that (especially because of the mentioned book), but it didn't.

It has some inspirational quotes that made me cry so hard I couldn't even see what I was reading anymore and it's so soft. Soft like angel feathers. Ha! :D

There's no big bad villain, but one does scheme in the background. He's annoying.

The book is on the shorter side so there wasn't much time to expand, but I still think the annoying mini villain could've had a slightly bigger role.

I love all the places described, that's a cool idea.
SpoilerAnd their whole relationship too. I love how he opens up more as time goes on and the more places they visit.

I'm not sure how I feel about the epilogue.
SpoilerI wish they could've just started where they left off instead of having to live completely different lives. It reminds me of that final scene in the Travellers tv show. I don't mind it, but I have a preferred outcome.

ALL IN ALL. READ THIS IF YOU WANT ALL THE FEELS. Keep a tissue box ready.

P.S. I want more.
SpoilerTHERE !!! WAS !!! NO !!! STEAM !!!

*I'd like to thank Meg Anne for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review*

I received an ARC of Fighting Fate Part One by A.J. Macey and Jarica James.
I loved this story so much. Addie is a snarky survivor and I can’t get enough of her. I love her best friend Nat too; she’s funny as hell. Rhyland and River are definitely sheltered in the fact that they basically have no idea exactly how differently their pack is to the majority of wolf shifters. Their Uncle John is THE best in my opinion.
Addie’s abusive husband, Bentley, is an asshole. The end of Part One showed Bentley being a lying manipulator and starting a war between multiple packs.
I seriously can’t wait for more of this story!!

Midnight Whispers Collection
Paid $.99 for ebook Overall rating is 3 Stars
Couple of the stories were good, but some of them felt just thrown together or drafts that they written years ago to toss out there to see if they can get any interest in them. Started skimming on the stories at end of book. There was not enough to keep me interested.

A Bear’s Wounds by Celia Kyle
This is a typical Celia Kyle story, well written quick and sweet with HEA- 4 Star

I’ll Be Your Beast by J L Beck & Hallman
Girl on the outside meets mate and becomes whole, no grammatical errors but was lacking something it’s a quick lunchtime read got a HEA- 3 Star

Blood Lust by Mikayla Symonett
So the premise of the story has potential, however I felt that the story that was put in the book was a Draft. Reason is in the sections talking about hereditary blood lines for breeding/marriage it has {Blake bloodline} like a place holder but nothing on his bloodline this was in 2 locations.
Second it might just be a translation error of possible French to English, but I seen a lot of sentences such as “I Pushed the limits a few centuries ago and now, I have trust to again back.”. Couple of misspelled works such as “firs” when the sentence needed “first” or “pale versus pail”. Overall, I think this was a draft version of a story put in versus a final version. For the story potential only -2 Star

The Vampire’s Secret Baby by S. Hamil
DNF, very disjointed story, started with guy being a college student, who got his high school girlfriend (that he did not like) pregnant then went to Europe hooked up vampire who sired him and had been away for more than a year. Comes back to learn he’s a dad and is thinking about eating the baby and the author talks about her slit and glands that they are so huge. Just call them breast, tits but glands and someone calling a vagina a slit. Cannot tell you how unsexy this is but it might be sexy for someone else. - 1 Star

Vampire Love Sucks by Lea Jade
This story was well written, it is a sample to pull you in the story, it is RH/Threesome? it gave you enough to hook you but then just stopped. Felt could have been a bit longer. - 3 Star

Tethered Souls by Jessica Wayne
Well written, really like the story.. 4 Star

Rest of book I skimmed and did not see anything remarkable about the stories to write about.

My soul to take...
Shane had no clue what he was in for when he decided he would give up his soul for a better life free of his disease and with the chance to finally live. Maz'riel a soul contractor for Hell thought is was just another day when she felt the tug of someone wanting to sell their soul. Little did she know when she popped into that hospital room she would be reunited with her soulmate who she believed she lost centuries ago when she fell from Heaven for loving a man and sentenced to this punishment. Maz'riel struggles with the reality of having to keep their past from Shane while also have to try and convince him not to give up his soul. This was a wonderfully writing story. The struggles from both sides are intense to say the least. If you have every been close to someone so sick you can understand the pain of just wanting more time and accepting the little bit of life you have been given. Maz'riel wants nothing more that to be with him again but she can't risk the cost this time, his soul will pay the cost this time. Beautifully crafted to see both sides so will. I promise it is not a story full of sorrow, even with their strugglers that have a great sense of humor that will make anyone smile.

Review for A Glow of Stars & Dusk by Eve L. Mitchell
A Glow of Stars & Dusk by Eve L. Mitchell has left me speechless on what to write for this review, and I don’t think I can really express how much I loved it. But I can say that A Glow of Stars & Dusk has bumped up to my one number favourite book, and I can’t wait for more of the Watcher Series.

There’s magic, and demons, unexpected plot twists galore, theres a level of steamyness and so much more that you’ll just have to read it to discovery everything.

The emotion and descriptiveness of the world is so detailed that I was able to visualise what was going on so vividly, that it was like I was there. And this was immediately from chapter one, when my heart was racing and I was absolutely hooked.

Star is a hilarious character who’s perfectly matched with a wicked demon.
This enemies to lovers story will have you so engrossed that you will come out of reading A Glow of Stars & Dusk unsure of who you are or where you are.

A Glow of Stars & Dusk is most definitely a one click novel, with an added bonus that it’s currently available with a collection of other stories in the Midnight Whispers anthology.

The Midnight Whispers is a fantastic collection of paranormal and urban fantasy stories that are full length novels. Each author has contributed a story to fit this category and I know I’ll be trying to read as many of these as possible.
