Tbh, all I knew about this book was that it's frequently banned. It turned out to be so weird, funny, thought-provoking, and intensely disturbing. Now I want to get a physical copy and read it again and annotate the f*ck out of it.

I'm both very excited and very nervous to explore more of Vonnegut's work. 😅

Strangely comforting, impressively bleak, and even funnier than it is bleak. I hit this book at just the right moment in my life, and it has provided me tremendous strength and comfort in difficult times.

I was hesitant to start this after DNFing catch-22 but the inclusion of aliens turned it from war satire to batshit insane. The second half of the book gets funnier too.

Confusing at times if you try to make more sense of it than should be made. A look into an ache for meaning, making the most of situations, and the darkness of war. Aloof and casual about things most people would not be.
