I found the ending extremely rushed, especially with how much time was spent teasing out the big reveal at the end as well as all the time they spent reestablishing the relationship. But the characters were really lovable and the male protagonist is extremely swoon-worthy!

in not even a single half of a day, this book managed to skyrocket the bar for romance novels. i’m a whole ass mess and absolutely emotionally exhausted. greatest read i’ve had in a long time.

I think I low-key lived for this book during the five days it took me to read it. I woke up, I was excited to read a chapter or two during breakfast. During the day, I waited for the moment that I could get in bed or the sofa to read a little more. I read until I went to sleep (sometimes a little later than I should). I think the past/present pov helped making it so engaging. The story is so beautiful, too, and all the characters are so loveable I want to hug them all. The only reason I didn't give this 5 full stars is because something in the end happened and it felt really out of character for one of the characters.

I liked this, but at the same time it was so darn sad. Almost too sad for me. It's hard to rate a book that really hits you, when at the same time you wish several parts of the plot had played out differently.
I am also always kinda weary when characters fall for "their one and only true love" at 17/18. I believe it can happen, but maybe this book took it a tiny bit too far.
