This story is simple and sweet, and I love the illustrations and the message to believe in your dreams. My inner five-year-old may have helped a little with the rating-I still love and believe in unicorns because of her!

For: unicorn lovers; readers looking for a sweet whimsical book.

Possible red flags: being mad fun of; the book sort of just ends.

Being a lifelong unicorn fan, and a fan of AKR, I was so excited to read this beautiful book. Unfortunately I felt that the ending was far too abrupt and I was left wanting more. Though it feels unfinished, the artwork and the concept are outstanding!

A little girl and a unicorn just cant wait to meet each other. They both believe in each other though each of their parents believe the opposite species is nothing but a lie. At the end of the story they meet each other and apparently live happily ever after.

It’s really cute. I don’t think I’ll understand exactly why it’s gotten the hype it has, except for of course the beautiful illustrated Unicorn. The concept is very nice though, and I am excited to have it read during the Friendship themed reading time this week.

A cute little story about a unicorn who believes that little girls exist and are not just make believe.

But it doesn't resolve. And maybe that's the point of the story. But I don't like that point very much. The art is fine, though I didn't love it. The text is fine. I guess I just wanted a slightly different story.

Cute book, though reading it to my 4-year-old son who loves mythical creatures made me wonder if it was a missed opportunity for Uni to believe in little kids in general (not just little girls).
