I really enjoyed this book until the twist at the end. Probably because I read a book a couple of months ago WITH EXACTLY THE SAME TWIST (and I didn‘t find it very plausible then either).

Once it takes hold, this psychological thriller refuses to let go until the final page has been turned. Holly Seddon is a fantastic storyteller and is one I will definitely look out for in the future.

With short, punchy chapters that keep you wanting to read more, this fast moving and at times shocking thriller is a must read for anyone who loves a good family drama with the added bonus of a dark twist to the tale.

A fabulous 4 stars. Recommended.

Thank you to NetGalley and TBC for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of this book.

Stayed up all night to finish it!
Thrilling and suspenseful all the way through, did not go the way I thought it would, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it when I was done.

I liked it but couldn't really get into it. I'm glad I carried on reading it tho, because the last few chapters really redeem this book, oh my goodness, it's so tense!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this read.

The delivery was brilliant as we learnt about the protagonists in past and present snippets, eventually culminating in some epic reveals and twists.

Heart-breaking at times, emotional throughout, these two families had me gripped from the first page.

Thank you NetGalley and Atlantic Books for a review copy.

I did not know what to expect. I kept waiting for that something, and it came, and I was all damn! But I can not say more, just, I did not see that coming! ;)

The book starts with Sarah getting kicked out by her husband and a lot of allegations are laid against her. So did she really do those things? What is going on? He seems so ruled by his parents.

Then there is Robin who does not leave her house and spies on her neighbors. What happened to make her have such a break down?

The book alternates between seeing them growing up. There is family drama. Sarah is the good girl, Robin is the one who follows along. Like all families there are issues but those are just issues. Slowly the tale does unravel.

I really liked the ending. I so wish I could say more, but oh you know, spoilers darling, spoilers.

It's a good book that keeps building up to something and you just do not know what that something is. If that is her style then I would certainly read more by her, I like twists and surprises. Books that have me guessing and never getting it right.

Downloaded this when I had a long car ride when I found it at the library. At times it could drag on but overall, the plot is very intriguing and keeps you engaged with many twists and turns. Would recommend for thrill seekers!
