YA Romance. FMC had a rule against dating jocks and broke it to date a guy on her school's hockey team who cheated on her. She goes to mess up his car and his rival (our MMC) comes to her aid.

They agree to fake date to deter her ex from harassing her about getting back together. MMC falls first and keeps trying to hold on to the arrangement. They're very cute! Sometimes the FMC and other characters on the more privileged side of town annoyed me with their biases and the way they spoke about people they didn't even know but I do appreciate that it wasn't watered down. This is how people are treated in our world all the time, or even worse becuase of their status/class/race/sexuality etc.

I felt like the miscommunication around their feelings dragged on a little more than I'd like but they're teens afraid of rejection so I kind of get it.
