This book was written quite well and I was impressed but it made me so mad and I didn't like the themes throughout it, which is more of a reflection on the books I enjoy, not a reflection on the quality of this book.

Ummm, WTF

Slow start but glad I stuck it out. Nice commentary on a sick side of popular culture. Truly twisted stuff...

DNF 51% (208 pages)

This started so strong: one woman wakes up alone on a cruise ship with no crew, no passengers, no one. The eerie setup was brilliant and had me hooked.

But then 

came random characters, a dragged-out backstory, and finally the big “twist”… it’s all a game show with survival challenges. Honestly, that killed it for me. I didn’t want Survivor at Sea, I wanted the creepy mystery I signed up for. 

Really gutted because the premise was amazing, but it lost me completely.

Mixed feelings about this one… 

Yes it was a gripping page turner, I wanted to know what happened and I flew through it quickly so I suppose that’s a good thing but also on equal measure it was very infuriating at points and the tacked on ending I felt was completely unnecessary and annoying
