Fast paced thriller in the air. Rather dated but enjoyable.

Arthur Hailey is who I would consider to be the godfather of the 1970s disaster film trend, and this story is what got it started. It's the novelization of the Canadian TV film he helped to write, about a food poisoning outbreak on a plane, and a Regular Joe has to save the day. It's just suspenseful enough to make it a very quick read. If you're into 1970s disaster films (which I am) this is a book for you!

Very exciting! the technical details of aircraft landing was well described. Coincidentally I read this book on a flight and finished it when the plane landed. This added to the excitement.
Not sure if I would have rated this as 5 * if I was on firm ground.

This book reminded me several times of Arthur Hailey' s other book Airport. This is a quick read and recommended to fans of aviation thrillers.
