It’s easy to get lost in the prose, and the story being told. Half memoir, half argumentative essay, this is a riveting book

I wanted to like this more, but I didn't care for the storytelling from a second person POV. There were certainly moments within the book that was eerily reminiscent of my own family's story but Viet's narration was jarring and hard for me to connect with.
