To be honest, this review could be a single word: meh. Nothing excited me, nothing thrilled me, nothing shocked me. I didn't care for the characters. The only thing I liked was the format, which was why I bought this book in the first place. I love books with different formatting, whether that is like this, or Illuminae where it's very strange.

Not quite into it. I should read more than 14 pages but it hasn’t grabbed me yet. Will try again at another time

It’s an okay read. Nothing really stands out, just a typical mystery story that’s mostly told in podcast form. Maybe that’s why I feel like the story fell flat, because of the limitation of how the story was told. Although I do think rereading it again after knowing the ending might give some new perspectives on the book.

I went into this book not really knowing what to expect. I new it had to do with a podcast and thriller aspects but that was it. I was greatly surprised by how much I enjoyed this. There were a few points in this book that creeped me out and the plot twist I did not see coming. I’m so happy I read this and can’t wait to read more from this author!

What a cool take on a mystery novel! Me being into true crime podcasts, when I received a later part in this series in an Abominable Bookclub box, I decided to start from the first book because I was super curious and surprised I hadn't heard about this series before.

I feel like saying anything about the book will spoil the experience of reading it, so I'll be brief: the language felt believable and really made it feel like there were several distinct people speaking. The pacing made sense. About halfway through I had guessed the outcome, but I still enjoyed reading up to the last word. I'm a bit disappointed that the supernatural element wasn't a bigger part of it, but the story makes the decisions on that make sense.

And I look forward to reading the rest of the series!
