This was pretty enjoyable. I was looking for a romance that started as a bet and this one fit fairly well though I would have liked to have had a little more emphasis on that. I love how Cory pursued Spencer so much he kind of forgot about the get- lol. I thought the forgiveness came pretty easily and I wonder how things would look in the future. Will they move in together in SD? But I did like this one. I may have to check out more of this series.
The fourth book in the Franklin U series finds Spencer Crowe, a hardworking student, server at Shenanigans bar and resident of the life sciences house (LaL) struggling to deal with the annoying Delta Iota Kappas next door. After a long day at work, all Spencer wants to do is come home to his allocated parking lot, take a shower, and rest a bit before his shift at the bar. But he can't. AGAIN. A big army green Jeep Wrangler is in his spot. AGAIN one of those DIKs has parked in his spot meaning he has to park all the way down on Lee street BY A DUMPSTER and walk all the way back home meaning he's going to be in a big rush. When he comes stomping out of the house after his shower he sees none other than Cory Ingram, campus rich boy hottie, casually getting into the Jeep.
Spencer. Goes. Off. Cory is amused by this and one thing leads to another with his frat brothers making a wager that even the famous Cory Ingram can't manage to turn this around and bed Spencer. The bet is on.
Cory has a class with Spencer. He starts sitting next to him. And badgering him. But in a charming way? He can tell that Spencer is clinging to his gut reaction of hatred towards Cory. As the boys spend more time together, they both struggle with staying apart. But what of that bet?
This one is another banger. I rate romance differently than I do any other genre. This one is just great. Major feels. A proper, not excessive, amount of sex. Plus its basically some terrible 90s rom-com (which is a really good thing, in my book). I love Cory and Spencer together. And I love Darby and Royer, their two friends. This was my first novel by Neve wilder but I'll definitely be seeking out more down the line. If you're already reading the series, keep it up. Bet You holds up.
