BROOOOOOOOOOOO. second fave in the FU series so far. Cory is MAJOR book boyfriend material omg. I would read a trillion stories about Cory and Spencer. Wow. They’re my besties now.

Vibes: Sadly, I did not feel like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman except for the whole hooker thing.

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]

Bet You by Neve Wilder is the fourth book in the Franklin University universe. Cory Ingram has been living the college dream. He loves his fraternity and spending his time in sunny California on the ocean. Spencer Crowe is thrilled to be moving into the science house but that excitement is dulled by the sounds of frat parties late into the night and inconsiderate frat boys taking his parking space. He finally says enough is enough and confronts Cory, one of the main culprits. Spencer sees Cory as someone at the top of the world while Cory sees Spencer as a challenge to win over. Their battle turns into more leaving the two men to decide if their rivalry is nothing more than foreplay.

Spencer Crowe has a lot on his plate. He has been working extremely hard to stay at the top of his major while working and applying for an important internship. He has no time for people like Cory who never seem to have struggled in their life. He doesn’t expect to get to know Cory and even more like him. Cory sneaks past the walls he puts up and ends up helping Spencer realize there is more to the college experience than just school.

“Feels good,” he murmurs.
It does. The feeling of Spencer against me again, of his breath on my neck, of his whole body against mine, is perfect.

Cory Ingram has lived a fortunate life but with that comes expectations from his family. He loves California and is passionate about spending as much time on the ocean as he can before he is forced to return to NYC and take over for his parents’ advertising firm. Spencer disliking him is a challenge he’s never faced before and what starts out as a joke turns into more as he gets to know Spencer. He realizes that Spencer is way more than just an uptight science nerd. Cory shows his sensitive side by remembering the little details and making Spencer feel special through thoughtful acts.

His mere presence has become a full-frontal assault on my emotions and my dick, and I’m not sure I care to stop it anymore.

Spencer and Cory are fun additions to the Franklin University crew. They take a more unique approach to their “meet cute” by having their battle over the parking spot and elicit initial sexual encounters. Both characters are forced to reassess their initial misconceptions about each other and see that they could have missed out on something special.

4 stars for Spencer and Cory finding fun and happiness unexpectedly.

overall the story felt kind of rushed? which is a shame because I thought Spencer and Cory had really good chemistry and I wanted to see more of them as an established couple

Overall, an enjoyable installment in this series.

Personally, I was expecting a bit more from this lovely author, especially heat wise. Where was my high heat? Why weren't these two getting it on from at least the halfway point? And getting hot and heavy every which way?

We only got one full sex scene between these two, and about two blow job scenes. I was like...huh? Why are so many more books these days lacking good sex? It truly is a mystery. I remember [b:Want Me|45470330|Want Me (Extracurricular Activities, #1)|Neve Wilder|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1557079207l/45470330._SY75_.jpg|70113474] and how hot and sexy it was, and how they got it on many times, in many places. I mean, this book had these two masturbating while watching each other, but those didn't do much for me, unfortunately *shrug* I did like their actual sex scenes with each other, but again...we barely got any of those.

Where is that? Why was the high heat missing in this? I felt so bereft. I feel like some authors are letting go of hot and heavy sex in their books, and we barely get it nowadays and it is SO disappointing. This book could have been somewhat longer, and that all could have been taken up by at least several more hot and sexy sex scenes between Spencer and Cory, our two MC's.

Seriously makes me worried that some purity culture is getting to authors these days or...if not, I honestly don't know. Ghost writers, maybe? Who aren't as good as writing sex scenes, so they just...don't? I just...don't get it.

Now, was the romance good? For the most part, yes. I enjoyed these two together a lot of the time and while their "I love you" exchange didn't quite feel earned to me, I was feeling the feels between these two and got the sense they were very very into each other.

Maybe doing a little more before the whole "bet" thing comes out in the open would have not only made that revelation pack more of a punch, but it would have made the fallout even worse and harder for Spencer to forgive - but oh the payoff would have been so worth it.

What we got was sweet and cute and "aw" worthy, but I wasn't wowed, exactly, or feeling the passion of being in love I so wanted to feel between these two.

This was still enjoyable, and I still enjoyed both these characters together and apart.

I was just expecting a little more from this lovely author, who I know can do a lot better in certain areas (*cough*mainlythesex*cough*).

But still a good installment in this series and a fun, enjoyable read overall. Definitely a lower rated book for me from this author's works, but still solid on the whole.

Here's hoping for higher - and more frequent - heat next time

Brilliant book for the Franklin U collection

Fantastic book, I read it in an afternoon. The characters were funny, gorgeous and I was totally invested. There was a lot of sexual chemistry and some hot scenes which I loved. An easy read and fun all the way. There is fun banter between the 2 MC's but also you see their deeper feelings which I liked.

And now we have Neve Wilders addition to the FU series and just like the others I enjoyed the hell out of this. Its got a slight enemies to lovers vibe, but thats quickly squashed by a relentless, yet charming Cory. Spencer can only hold out for so long against that mans charm. Then we get all the delicious steam Neve is known for and holy momma!

Cute. Adorable. Fun. Exactly what I wanted. Weird that one of the heroes and I had the same name, but still cute, fun, and adorable.
