DID NOT FINISH

DNF ~67%

Man, I tried, but I just could not get into this one. Both of the characters rubbed me the wrong way and there were a number of things that just made me slightly uncomfortable and/or didn't really make much sense. Frankly, I didn't think Spencer over-reacted about the parking space, and then, after pulling a prank (which frat bros should be familiar with) somehow he ends up cleaning off the car he pranked?? That made absolutely no sense to me. The window voyeurism felt a bit creepy instead of hot, and I found Cory's cockiness and refusal to back the fuck off to actually me pretty uncomfortable. The bet concept is also tired and predictable, and not my favorite. I usually really enjoy this author's works, but this series has been really lacklustre for me so far. I'm honestly not excited about any of the rest of the books at this point.

Okay, so yes, I liked this one, but it was predictable and some things just weren't my cup of tea (voyeurism).
I liked the characters though, but I didn't understand why Spencer had such a dislike for Cory over just parking the car in his spot, I mean isn't that a bit childish?
I loved the end with the big Tom Holland umbrella song part, laughed my lungs right out of my body right there.
Was it a great read? No, just good. It wasn't my favorite of the series. This was my first book of this author but she did make me curious for more.

3,5/5.

Meh is the best word I have for this lmao. I didn't have a problem with the voyeurism (kinda fucked if it happened in real life, but didn't skeeve me out to read about it or anything) or the sex, but neither of these guys did anything for me. But I had a good enough time reading it, I was looking for something that would fill a few hours of my night, not something earth-shattering lmao

Overall it was good but i had mixed feelings. Some parts were really fun and others felt out of place. But I couldn’t quite put my finger on it.

Cory was fun and flirty, very charming. Doesn’t back down from a challenge. Total playboy.

Spencer immediately judged Cory based on the playboy thing and the money he seemed to have/flaunt occasionally.

After Cory parked in his spot and he blew up, the two kind of circled around each other from there. Cory was determined to win over Spencer. Spencer wasn’t interested in backing down.

I thought they had good chemistry and banter once Spencer got over himself and his prejudices

The book was called the bet but we heard very little about said bet.

10/10 grand gesture moment

Süße Geschichte, eigentlich recht kurzweilig und doch haben sich manche Passagen (für 220 Seiten) ganz schön gezogen. Gibt definitiv stärkere spicy romance!
