This is another great book. My mom used to read it to me and we had it in my preschool classroom but i haven't touched it since i was very young. When i opened it and read it again, it just made me smile. It is so sweet and innocent and the colors are great along with the pictures and the message is just awesome. This book would be great for any age as well, it can be read to babies but it is also a great book for kids to learn to read. Ages 3-5 for educational purposes.
This book is great for read aloud, maybe not to an entire classroom but for a smaller group because it is a short board book and it doesn't really teach the children anything that has to do with educational purposes but it is still great to have in the classroom for new readers and just to look. The illustration are small on the page and they don't take up the entire page but they are pretty detailed. The Hare and the baby hare are prominent and the colors are light and bright and easy on the eyes.
This story could have many different discussions about love, caring for one another, but also you can explain what a hare is, why that is the name and what other animal the Hare looks like.

I like how this book expresses the love of a parent for their child. My mother used to read it to me whenever I got in trouble to remind me that she still loves me.
If I were to ask you what the most popular children’s board book was in my Little Free Library Shed would you know the answer? Of course, you would, because you are reading the review right now!
I can’t begin to tell you how many times this book has come into the LFL, left, come back again, and left again, to come back again. And…each time, it is a different one. Which means…it is a new donation. Yes, whoever took the first one, did not return it.
This book is a keeper.
Why? Because how can you not resist the title?
This book was first given to me by my husband. Yes, I know. You heard me correctly. Before I say more about this, let me go into this book.
Plain and simple, this is a story about love, and how far it reaches and how deep it goes.
If we were to consider the educational themes, and how wonderful this book works between parent and child, or teacher and child…
At its core, because the story is about love, this is a great book for teaching little ones how to express their love and why it is important to tell people you love them.
It is also a sweet story that explains a pretty big idea in a way that even the youngest hearts can understand.
Reading level… start at any age. Even adult to adult – we all have the capacity to learn the depth that love can take us.
This is a great bedtime book with a lovely message and fun pictures. We read it at least one a week at our house these days. I recommend it to all parents.
Look forward to sharing it when my grand daughter arrives!
Adorable. Little back and forth about who loves the other more.
Just love the l-o-n-g ears on the bunnies. I think it was a daddy bunny and his little one. The story is a bit overdone these days, but in 1994 it was a fresh thought "I love you this much!". The illustrations were adorable.
