I have to admit that the main reason I wanted to read this book was, because I was craving some Mediterranean vibes first and because the premise hooked me second. And that's kind of what's my review is. The vibes were immaculate, the premise was frankly confusing. The fact that the main character who's name I have already forgotten
cheats on her husband and blames it on the country? or at least justifies it through the country
bugged me so much. But the way the author describes Italy, the culture, the cusine - a lot of the cusine - makes me want to go back so much! But the main character was frankly annoying and selfish but maybe that was the point? Also, very much an unhealthy relationship with the mother

it was pretty good. i was annoyed that i had to skip a few parts at the very end. that’s the reason it’s not 4 stars. i didn’t enjoy the cheating trope but i’m glad everything worked out.

Really liked this. It was a chill book. This was my first audiobook too, and I was addicted to it. I've literally never gotten thru a book so fast.
The spicy scenes weren't even spicy but I was still in shock, jaw dropped, hand over my mouth and everything. I think it was mostly due to it being narrated to me.
6/6/23 edit: this wasn't as good as i thought immediately after reading. i decided to change my rating because i recently finished tfgsc. i didn't take that much off the original rating (4.25) because of the fact that it was my first audiobook and i had a good experience with it.

I enjoyed this book and I hope to visit this gem in Italy one day.
The cheating of Katy’s husband really through me off even though there was a time gap and she traveled back to 1992, it still felt icky to me. I liked the character development and that Katy got to meet her mother as Carol in her prime, on the trip that changed her life.
