Oh, how I wanted to love this one. Meryl Wilsner has written books that completely changed my brain chemistry, but unfortunately, this wasn’t one of them. I found myself distracted and bored while listening, and I ended up speeding up the audio just to get through it.

i usually like meryl wilsner’s books (especially cleat cute), but this one wasn’t good tbh.
the plot felt sloppy and the pacing either too rushed (why, if the plot centers around the honeymoon, wasn’t it more expanded?) or too slow, and the characters felt too stale. the miscommunication with the job thing was awfully done and stupid, and the characters actions felt silly at best and downright stupid most of the time
also the sex scenes were terrible, i’m sorry, it was like trying to be edgy and kinky just for the sake of being it without building up their intimacy
