I hate instalove and instalust...so why does Kate Oliver always hit it out of the park when those tropes are so present in her books?? Seriously - I don't get it but I'm not going to question it anymore because, in the end, I thoroughly enjoy her characters and, as cheesy as it can sometimes seem, the plot/world she creates for her readers.
Jordyn and Cash were such a fun couple and I loved the environment/setting that Oliver has set up for her new series Savage Sins. I'm already so ready for September to come around for the next installment, Savage Obsession (obsession you say 👀), and getting to explore the Savage brothers personalities more (plus hopefully Caleb in the future because I loved him).

My first read from this particular author and as introductions go, its definitely a good one as Cash Savage and his brothers swear revenge on the person that murdered their father. When they find out their prime suspect has two sons Cash decides to kidnap one to force the father’s hand but imagine his surprise when he discovered that Jordyn was actually a woman.
Cash is one of those intense, morally grey heroes who comes with his own code, one that meant he’d never intentionally hurt a woman but he knew he couldn’t give Jordyn the opportunity to warn her father he was coming so spur of the moment, he decided to kidnap her not expecting to actually like her let alone anything else. I knew I was going to love Jordyn after her reaction to meeting all four of the Savage brothers. She was feisty, kickass, and not about to go down without a fight…...oh and she had a mouth on her. The verbal sparring between these two characters was wickedly delicious and their chemistry sizzling with a bit of daddy kink thrown in but hey whatever floats your personal boat, no shame allowed, and the possessive Cash turned out to be surprisingly sweet when auntie Flo came to call. The overall plot was fast paced, building the tension and suspense, I just wish the romance element hadn’t been quite as fast as it ultimately felt a bit too instalove for me which I always feel will burn out – has Jordyn never heard of Stockholm syndrome? I still enjoyed their journey though. If you love extra spicy enemies to lovers, forced proximity romances, you won’t want to miss Savage Revenge. Loaded with heat, humour, and kink and the prospect of more to come from the three remaining brothers.

These characters are so good together. Cash is smitten with Jordyn from the jump. He’s a large tattooed casino man with a dirty mouth, and a desire to be called “daddy.” Boundaries do not exist with this man. Jordyn is so fiesty and bratty. She’s used to fighting for her herself and her place in a world run by men. She doesn’t take BS from anyone. But words do cut her, and her self-talk is surprisingly sad. Cash finds that she’s nothing that he expected, and the more her interacts with her, the more he wants to break her, AND protect her. This book is full of surprises (making that time of the month sexy somehow?!), and their love story is so tense and engaging. If you want it dark and bloody, give this one a shot.

This book gave me Little Dove by Layla Frost vibe and since I loved that book so much, so automatically I loved this book too.
I loved how funny and unhinged Savage brothers were. Can't wait to read their stories in their own books next. And Caleb too! He was not a Savage but I think at this point he was a honorary Savage. I am above begging to have his book written and published too.
There were so many times I laughed and red-faced because of how cringe both Cash and Jordyn were. I had second-hand embarrassed from those two love birds. But I assured you those were a good and entertaining second-hand embarrassed. My cheeks hurt so bad on how wide I smile throughout their "daddy-good girl" sessions.
Cash, aka Daddy 🔥🔥🔥, were so unhinged and so obsessed with Jordyn. It was definitely insta-lust and insta-love at the same time, but I don't care. As long as no cheating, instalove/instalust is no problem for me. Instead, I devoured this book because of those.
I loved that Jordyn was size plus FMC. Yet she was still so confident with herself, it made her so perfect. No wonder Cash loved her so much. There was time where she felt not confident with herself, but her Daddy Cash was there to "whipped" all her insecurities away. I loved that moment(s) so much.
With how much I enjoyed this book, Savage Revenge find itself in my reread list.

Savage Revenge was full of sexual tension, family loyalties and Daddy Cash giving Jordyn the freedom she needed to help Jordyn thrive in all areas of her life. These two were electric from the very beginning and I loved watching them try to resist the other because they come from two different families at the top of the Las Vegas casino scene. I loved their dynamic of Jordyn being g a bit of a brat but also knowing when to submit and Cash knowing what she needed and happy to give it to her even if it was a punishment.
Jordyn is such a strong character. Every struggle she had felt valid and it really made me sympathize with her while she was falling for her captor.
I loved Cash. He was the perfect red flag Daddy. No matter that Jordyn was the daughter of his business nemesis he was caught hook, line and sinker from when he first saw Jordyn even if he was in denial for a bit. I loved watching him fall for her and learn what Jordyn needed then giving it to her.
These two have such a great push and pull dynamic. It’s not one more than the other and I loved getting to see who would be the person to get their way.
I just loved the dynamic between these two and how everything played out. And the body positivity in the book really made me happy. I was able to so easily imagine how Jordan looked and as a bigger girl her venerable moments felt so valid but for the most part she knew how she looked and owned it.

This was really enjoyable! I loved the personality that Jordyn had. And obsessive Cash was so good. I loved what these two ended up having together and felt the storyline was really good and I really had fun reading this one.
