A quite long, but lovely story about a love letter that impacts different creatures in different ways.

Oh my word. This was too cute. When Hedgehog finds a love letter it makes him feel cheerful. When Bunny finds the same letter she feels helpful. And when the same letter makes its way to squirrel, he feels carefree. When these three friends try to find out who really sent the letter, they learn that a little confusion can lead to a wonderful mix-up. I absolutely loved this one. The artwork is gorgeous, wintry, and super fun and works in perfect counterpoint with the story. Just perfect.

Three friends find a love letter in the forest and learn how positive words can improve someone's day.

I loved the art in this as well as the setting in the forest, and the letter itself was so sweet. A very sweet picture book on the power of lovely words.

This is a sweet story of animal friends who find an unaddressed love letter and each thinks it's for them. It turns their whole outlook around to know that they are loved by someone. It can easily be used for Valentine's content without being holiday-specific.

Three friends find a love letter and each one thinks it's from another of their group. When they read it, they feel special and loved and their disposition improves. They eventually find the true author of the letter, who settles their squabble about who it was really for and helps them see that being kind and affectionate to ones friends has positive and far-reaching side effects.

As I was reading this book I wasn't really sure where it was going, but when it got to the end I was won over. This might be a good book to read as kids start developing deeper friendships, especially in school situations where things can get a little cliquey. This might be a gentle way to try and introduce the concept of the result of an action and its effect on people being more important than the original intention behind it. In this case the result was a lot of good feelings, but obviously it frequently goes the other way as well.

Cute book about the power of a love note from a secret admirer that gets mixed up and switches hands. Lovely illustrations!
Too lengthy for very young children but is an excellent book for older kids on the virtues of generosity.
