Let me start by saying that there wasn't a single second of this book that I didn't love!!

From the beginning, I was having a blast! The way the characters weee introduced worked wonders for me.

Selina was a damn GEM. Peter was wonderful. The way they stood up for their families no matter the cost. Their traumas shaped them but they made sure to better themselves in spite of it. I loved their communication, I loved their banter, the spice was SPICY. I loved their friends and their family.  The resolution had me clapping and kicking my feet.

I am so exited about this debut and I cannot wait for everything else Alexandra Vasti is going to come out with next!

Thank you SMP and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

An absolute delight of a historical romance! I wish we’d seen more of Selina and Peter’s history, especially their first meetings, but altogether I had a great time with these characters and their troubles. I’m definitely going to be following the rest of this series :)

It just fell flat for me. The author would say things had happened but they weren't shown.
Like the MCs were in love but there were no interactions to really show that love - we were just told they were.

Super cozy and even with the historical context, it feels relatable. An enjoyable read, especially on vacation cruising in the Bahamas

I adore this book. I would die for so many of the characters. It's sweet and sexy and interesting. I love the found family aspect, and how the main characters often feel like they'd die for others in the book too. Lu, Freddie have my whole heart. Belvoir's Library is a fascinating idea and I love the thought of it and implication of it. It was a great sub-plot that kept me pulled in.

I highly recommend this book for its wonderful characters and fast pace.
