Why are you so weird about consent, MacKade brothers?? I am ooked out and bored and don't care about any of these people or any stupid ghosts. Nobody wants to read a ghost fucker.

The last and youngest of the MacKade brothers to stay single, Shane was committed to staying unmarried. His philosophy was there are so many wonderful women, why settle for one. Until he met Dr. Rebecca Knight. She's a former child prodigy just learning to embrace life outside of academia. Rebecca knew Shane's history and was too inexperienced in understanding her own emotions to allow him to see her true feelings. This is what ultimately led to the fall of Shane MacKade.
This final book in the series was a fitting end to the story of the MacKade brothers. While it wraps up rather neatly, there were many lighthearted and heartwarming moments throughout.

Wow. These old school romance covers are QUALITY. Lol! Loved this story. One of my absolute favourites.
It felt disconnected from the rest of the series, a little. Also, I'm not sure there was quite enough space to do full justice to the character development, so corners were cut. Still, it was all right.

Rebecca is constantly confronted with the presence of Shane's former partners. This is the same in all the MacKade Brothers books. But is most pronounced in this one, since Shane being with them is an ongoing possibility, Rebecca has never been with anyone else, and she gets upset by the presence of those women.Overalll, Not Safe.
Definitely my favorite of the MacKades! I also loved how Nora wrapped up the series-long ghost story in a really sensitive way.
Shane MacKade's brothers are dropping like flies. He loves women as much as the rest of them, but, only one for the rest of his life? Uh uh, no way.
Then, Regan's younger friend comes to town. Dr. Rebecca Knight is interested in... well, everything. She's a nerd. It's only been the last few months that she's been able to come into her own, as a woman. Before that, she was your quintessential workaholic. Shaggy hair, no makeup, the whole nine yards. But she's put herself together and is on to her latest research, haunted houses. And, well, Shane has one of those.
So, the fact that they're highly attracted to each other is somewhat inconvenient. Especially since Shane's not a settling down kind of man, but Regan is most definitely a marrying kind of woman.
I usually read this book when I read the rest of the series but probably wouldn't read it otherwise because Shane is definitely an alphahole womanizer who is changed by the love a magical, virginal vageen.
