i like this book. easy to read and the plot was good enough. someone said this looks like a wattpad story and i kinda agree, but that doesn’t mean that this book is bad. it’s good tho really. i like how elena didn’t easily say yes to alec after all the grovel he did, but i don’t really like how they went to like more than a third break up(???) some of the scenes were a bit dramatic, but i loved it bc this is fiction baby

don’t get me started with the spice. it was good honestly 3,7 stars. but if i can rate alec’s mouth it’d be 10/10. the amount of “good girl” he said...... well sir i have a praise kink and thank you catharina maura for pleasing me with that

Alexander is such an alpha male but I was here for it. Quick and fun read.

I don’t have a lot to say about it because honestly I don’t remember much of it except that it was a marriage of convenience and that I hated it but couldn’t stop reading it. I don't know what it is about Catharina Maura’s books that I feel the need to read them no matter how much I hated the last one and yet I can’t put them down. The cover is very pretty.

Oh my. First thought is Elena is so strong (not the word I want to use but will keep it PG). Everything she had to do to save her mom would have broken most people. Alexander… well he was…. Hmmmmm. He was definitely something that was sure. I loved how protective he was of those he loved. Elena was close with Alexander’s brother growing up, but after her mother ended up in a coma her life changed drastically. Alexander hates her brother because of everything he has done to him, so when the opportunity comes to use Elena against him, he takes it. I hurt for Elena, but at the same time Alexander pulled at my heart strings too. He was so jaded. This is the second book by Catharina Maura I have read and loved. Her story telling is amazing.
