Emily Henry managed to successfully write the millennial version of When Harry Met Sally (my all time favorite romcom movie) and I loved every second of my experience reading it.  She really has the gift of good story telling with just the right amount of banter between the characters to feel like a real friendship and yearning are happening. I could imagine meeting someone and hearing a story about their life sounding just like this. The character flaws felt very relatable and all the hiccups in the different trips made everything so memorable.

I hope to find love like what Alex and Poppy have.

I've never been so sad to hit the last page and not have more story to read.

This book and Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez are by far my favorite contemporary romance books I've read this year.

I needed something light to read and wow, is this light but not in a good way. “Deeply emotional and starkly funny” quotes Alexis Daria on the back cover. Just googled her and found she’s a romance writer so now I get it. Readers, this book is insulting to women and men everywhere. These two are friends who really love each other but are too cowardly to say so let alone admit it to each other. And why? We don’t know. Because they’re stupid? Immature? Ridiculous? I skimmed most of it and am returning to the library to get it out of my house. Heaven forbid something happens to me and my friends find this on my nightstand which would lead them to wonder for eternity, “why the heck was she reading this foolishness?!”
