I'm not a huge romance novel reader and this one didn't change my mind. Definitely some cheesy and predictable parts from the very beginning that carried through - typical romance imo. The story arc was pretty basic made a little more interesting with flashbacks leading up to the friendship falling out. The character development was okay, the last fourth of the book was the most interesting to me and I wish the author spent more time in that area. There was a LOT of tension and build up but not enough resolution for me. I didn't want to quit reading necessarily but I did have to power through at a few points. Easy read, could be read in a day and would be a cute vacation book but it just didn't hit for me.
