Emily Henry you have done it again my girl. you have made me believe in love again ✊🏼

sometimes it takes some time together, some time apart, and some growing to do before you and your best friend can make a life together. this book made me feel so many things and it felt REAL. these are just two people figuring out what they want from life and from each other, and it was beautiful if not a little tear-inducing. I think the only thing that could’ve made this book better was dual POVs. absolutely phenomenal though 😭

this is also my fifth Emily Henry read and I think this is my third favorite thus far, behind Happy Place and Funny Story

(knocked it 0.5 stars bc this is a very subtle drawn out miscommunication trope and I hate that LOL)

Not for me at all

it was cute, but did not really do anything for me. much of the book is slow. there are a few page turning moments, but i lost interest quite frequently with this one. a lot of the story felt like “filler” and was not necessarily important to the plot, to the point that i was getting confused and lost on what was happening and who was who. i was getting some “place and time” whiplash when the timelines switched back and forth where i’d have to go back a few chapters to remember where we are and what we are doing. i love alex! i like poppy! but the immaturity of the two of them (fully grown adults, at that) really put me off. there were a few times i really thought this would be a DNF for me, but i trucked on. love emily henry’s writing style, but did not love this one.
