Where do I begin???? I knew I would love this book simply because dragons were featured in it. I bought it a while back and just recently got a chance to sit and read it. The YA romance plus the very descriptive action scenes had me on edge every page I turned. And at the end of the story when everything with Lilith and situations finally started making sense, had me in literal tears. I am currently I'm the process of convincing my mom to buy me Rogue right now as I write this. I can't wait to see where this love triangle between Ember, Garret, and Riley/Cobalt will lead.... This was a fantastic read and I recommend it to all dragon lovers!!!

Hmmmm I have mixed feelings! I love Julie kagawa and her writing is amazing, however I expected a whole lot more from the Author of the Blood of Eden series! I just didn't feel as connected to the characters as I normally am, but I will definitely read the next one!

Loved it, even tho it was a lot like her fey series... even with a brother and a strange triangle of love. Just with dragons and soldiers I like. I'm still wanting the next book in the fey series tho!

Really good book. I loved the way Kagawa brought in St. George and pitted them against Talon. To be honest, there were some issues. St. George and Talon (especially Talon) are portrayed as completely evil, with a "you're with us or you're dead" mentality, and then the characters could often be repetitive. Though, for me, it reaffirmed their confusion they felt, toward the end I started skipping some of it because I already knew what they were going to say.

That said, I fully intend to read the next book and cannot wait to find out what happens to Ember, Garrett, and Riley
Spoiler Dante can go jump in a boiling pit of lava
.

*Reader should also know that there are a couple sexual references and a party with underage drinking (though Garrett does make sure to say that he doesn't like drinking) which might offend some readers and which I personally didn't care for.*

I am a fan of Julie Kagawa but for me this book missed the mark. It lacked the world building of her other books and the romance between a dragon & a human just seemed anatomically unrealistic.

Holy crap. Never knew I needed this reread until I actually dove into it.

This time around, I took the audio route for Talon. Pretty sure I liked this version way more than the ebook one. I just feel like I was a lot more invested in everyone and everything that was happening because I was only focusing on one thing - this book.

In it, you will meet Ember and Dante Hill. Sort of twins.. but sort of not. They are both dragons but they are trying to blend in with humans. It's all for training though since Talon is grooming them for positions within the clan. Wait, is it a clan or more like a business? Eh, either way - they are training.

Throughout the book, they are making friends. Ember is also in the rebelling teenager part of her life. It doesn't help that her and Dante are already keeping secrets from one another. Then on top of all of that, Ember's friends are keeping secrets from her. Honestly, a ton of people are keep secrets in this book.

In the end, I am even more intrigued by the cliffhanger. Will Dante find her and bring her back? Will he end up joining the rogues? What will happen to Garret? UGH I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS AND NEED THE NEXT BOOK GUYS!
