Says a lot about life and is very relatable. Got me into reading again!

i loved it :') it was such a cute book. it was kind of predictable though ^_^ still, John Greene is love.

This book left me aching and filled to the brim with emotions. Even the small fragments of her seen by pudge are mysterious and draw you closer and closer into her tangled history. How can you mourn a facade how do you feel the loss of a ghost. Alaska belonged to no one but her self I suppose named, raised and tortured by herself. A story of grasped images and long ago quotes that leaves a hollow space in your mind for Alaska.

This book stayed with me for a very long time. Alaska Young inspired me to read more and more books.

Final Review:
Looking for Alaska, by John Green is a well written book narrated by a boarding school student, Miles Halter, who was nicknamed "Pudge". Characters in the story did not have a set personality in the story, which meant that the way they acted or responded to situations differed from time to time, and you never knew what to expect. For example, Alaska was a smart student who would ace all her classes, and she was somewhat responsible, she was the 1Cleader 1D of the group of friends, and she always knew her way around everything. But this isn't the case all the time, Alaska was sometimes quite and mysterious, and she was sometimes insane and out of her mind, or even dark and depressing. Usually characters have one personality that describes them, but John Green made the characters a little more realistic and gave them countless personalities and behaviors. This added the element of surprise to the story, and kept it engaging. I also enjoyed this story because I could somewhat relate to it being a student myself, but it also allowed me to experience life in someone else's shoes. Because I have never been to boarding school, or lived in dorms, I was captivated in the story, not knowing how school and life there differed from my own. Another feature of the book I really enjoyed was plot twist that occurred throughout the story, some bigger than others, but it really keeps me motivated to keep on reading. When you think one thing will happen but right before it does, the plot changes leaving the reader surprised. Also, there was a lot of times where John Green used foreshadowing by placing small, unnoticeable hints here and there in the story, and so when something is revealed the reader goes back and starts to sum up details that at first didn't seem like much but turned out to be much more important than expected. I love the way the author always keeps some part of the story a secret to the reader, so at all points in the story, there is still something that we don't know and need to find out about. It keeps us on our toes at all times. I enjoyed reading this book a lot and would recommend it for those who need a captivating book to read, or those who enjoy books with hidden clues that all add up by the end of the story.
