Love how the story unfolded. It'll have you believing in magic in no time.
This book was good except it didn't...resolve...a...plot...point?
Like it just never got resolved. It was weird.

Such a sweet story. Maybe a little bittersweet but definitely worth it. Kudos to Cassie Beasley for keeping the magic alive. The world needs more Grandpa Ephraims and fewer Aunt Gertrudis'...
I read this book to my son at bedtime and unfortunately I don't think that was the best way to have enjoyed this book. Great story but my son found it a bit hard to follow from night to night. Great ending!
I LOVED this book. It reminded me a bit of The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, but certainly more for kids. The beautiful relationship between Micah and his grandfather in which even the little normal bits of life, like orange soda pop and a running joke between them, are celebrated was so easy to follow, delve into and care about. And, of course, the magic.
Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down.
Nice ending, but took me a heck of a long time to get into the story. Kept persevering since this boom seemed to be so loved. Must have been about 3/4 of the way through before I felt like I wanted to finish the book. And even then, I had skipped several paragraphs per page just so I could be done. Not a good sign for a book I'm reading.
I read this with my son for his fourth/fifth grade book club at school. I really enjoyed reading about the circus. It was a fun little escape. All of the kids in our group really liked the book. I would definitely recommend it.

This was a fun magic-filled circus story with a bit of levity thrown in as Micah is dealing with some pretty serious family issues.
Summary: When he realizes that his grandfather's stories of an enchanted circus are true, Micah Tuttle sets out to find the mysterious Circus Mirandus--and to use its magic to save his grandfather's life
