This is the first Harlan Coben book I’ve read, though I’ve seen a few of the Netflix adaptations of his, which this book also has. I really enjoyed reading this. It was a great mystery/thriller and even when I guessed who the killer was, so many things still were a surprise. I will definitely look for more of Coben’s books as I browse the library.

Wow! I read this before and I didn't really like it. I forgot the plot. But this time around I really really liked it and I'm actually glad I didn't remember anything about it! Oh wait. I did remember who the perpetrator was after reading the name, but I couldn't remember how that happened exactly, so it was still a good surprise.

It's your typical story of people keeping secrets and haunting them for most of their lives, but eventually they can't just seem to avoid the problem forever.

Themes: domestic abuse, taking justice into your own hands, the scary side of human nature
