I had no real idea what this book was about coming into it, but I was pleasantly supprised. The description of this book is very vague and I was supeised to learn it was a retelling of the life od egos schiele and the women in his life. It was so insightful to life in that era, and it was dripping with drama. It took a while for me to get into it but a quarter of the way and I was enthralled. It was so mysterious and in wanted to know everything about these curious characters lives. This is not a book I would usually pick up so I’m surprised how much I loved it!

Interesting fictionalised historical novel, based on the life of the controversial artist Schiele, and giving voice to the women who appear in his artworks.

Predominantly set in 1900s Vienna, the novel also features a dual timeline aspect, as well as being retold from the multiple perspectives of the four women.
