I don’t know why I love the secret baby trope but I just can’t stop.

I was rooting for these two from the beginning!

“As my hands rake down his body, he grins deviously and pins them above my head. Holding them with one hand, he uses the other, along with his teeth, to rip his bed sheet like paper. I stare in awe as he uses the scrap piece of fabric to tie my wrists to the headboard behind me. When he's done, he runs his thumb across my lip.”

HE BIT THE SHEET TO TIE HER UP?! SIGN ME RIGHT UP!

The story we all knew we wanted but didn’t realise how much we needed it. This hero has been everything and I’m so thankful we got his story. It was everything I wanted and more. As cheesy as it sounds, so much heart has gone into this book, it’s just perfect! Thanks Kels, yet again you’ve nailed it

It was a really great, short read. I loved the story and for once, I loved how fast paced it was. I was able to finish it all within a few hours. I originally was going to give the book 3 stars but the bonus chapter definitely bumped it up to 4 stars for me!!

This was a fast read for me. The whole book was emotionally charged for me from start to finish however, the more I read the more I realized this was part of a series and so I missed out on a few things. I didn't realize it wasn't a standalone and in the book we meet 2 characters, Asher and Tess, that while the author does write about their relationship, I feel like I am missing the weight of the things they do in the book to help Hendrix. But ultimately, it did not affect the amazing story that I had the pleasure of reading. I devoured this book just because it was a happy story that flowed so well and made me want to see that happy ending at the end. It's a bit of a feel good story which I didn't realize I needed.
World Building: Again, its a city in California I think but it has enough good details to help you imagine the scene. Not a lot of world building needed.
Characters: I can relate to Saige as a mother trying to protect her child and the trials she goes through. I can relate to the emotional roller coaster that Hendrix goes on when he realizes he has a daughter. I love the depth the author has given her characters and I was invested in them as soon as I read about them.
Plot: It's a decent plot. Nothing too surprising but still a good read.
Emotional Impact: I went on a roller coaster of feelings with all the characters in the book, even Breanna. The author did a good job having the characters all grow through whatever trial they were going through. She even did a great job talking about sensitive subjects like abuse.
Now after all that the question becomes, do I need this in my library? Not really but I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if it was on sale or in store. It's definitely going in my re-read pile though. No doubt about that.
